Which do you choose, routine or life?

No one wants their life to be nothing more than a routine. Many do just that, going day to day with no plan or a vague plan to live the life they desire. Without a plan, things may be ok, but something is missing. In a routine life, we take each day as it comes, reacting to what is presented to us. We find our lives busy with one thing or another. Where is the joy?

It does not need to be this way. Routines become unconscious. We become unconscious and lose touch with ourselves and the vision of the life we desire. What was the life you desired? Do you remember?

We can decide when it is time to get out of our routine, to reconnect with ourselves and remember or reimagine the life we want. It is never too soon or too late. The challenge is that it is often easier to continue as we are than to change.

Change can begin quietly in meditation. It does not need to be hard nor dramatic, but it can be if you see it that way. Change can also happen as a natural transition from where you are to the life you desire. This change begins in meditation, a quiet place of seeing clearly.

To get where we truly want to be, go within, quiet the body, clear your thinking and say hello to who you are at your core. Meditation is a way to connect with ourselves and begin to imagine the life we desire, seeing it clearly in our mind’s eye, feeling it in the body and changing our thinking.

Meditating each day strengths our vision, helps the body get out of routines, and clears our thinking so that the life we desire begins to manifest right now and continues to manifest more clearly each day.

In this process, we may experience a sense of grief or loss. We get through that by finding ourselves. It can be this sense of grief or loss that keeps us unconsciously in our routine. If we do not feel it, that does not mean it is not there.

As your certainty grows, you can begin to write a plan to live your life more intentionally and move toward the life you desire. This is a necessary step to bring your vision into your world so that it moves from a dream to your reality. Write down steps you can take though change may happen more quickly than you planned. Enjoy!

Stay in our routine, day to day, or create the life we desire starting now. We have free will.

Don’t Seek Comfort To Achieve

200469160-001When people are in discomfort or pain, it is my inclination to want to bring them out of it.  I want to raise their energy high enough to feel better, so I feel better.  Not a good way to be.  It gets in the way of success and achieving our vision.

We create discomfort to stop, reflect and see where we want to be versus where we are. The problem is our tendency to seek comfort.  Seeking comfort can prevent us from achieving our vision.  It is in our nature to get out of discomfort quickly as possible.  Everyone does this a different way, i.e. getting an endorphin/physical rush, healing or massage, drinking, drugs, sex, and anything else that changes the energy we are experiencing.

Growth Periods

Nothing changes except that we are out of pain for that moment. The discomfort will return because there was something we needed to change and still do. To give this experience a label, I call it a growth period, a point in time when we have the opportunity for real change.  The decision we make can change everything.  We can choose to get out of the pain, or we can decide to sit with it to find out something about ourselves and our vision.

Growth periods happen when we have a vision of something that we want in our lives.  Once we have a vision, the universe starts to manifest around that mental image picture and things start to change. How quickly things change depends on what we allow.

When the universe starts to manifest around our vision and things start to change, we experience discomfort. Our body reacts to every change with unease until we get used to and comfortable with the new energy and space the change created.  It is at this point that we can decide. We can decide to sit with the discomfort and understand the change being created so that our vision can manifest OR we can do whatever we can to get out of discomfort.  Each choice produces a different result.  Allowing and understanding the pain allows our vision to continue to manifest.  Resisting and trying to get out of it causes the change we started to stop.

Choices

When I get into a growth period, I am honestly inclined to either of these choices depending on how intense the discomfort is.   The greater the discomfort, the bigger the change you are in the process of creating.  We can stop that change or we can allow it so when in a growth period, I ask myself, “What part of my vision is creating this growth period?  Where do I need to change to allow this aspect of my vision to manifest?” With this awareness, you decide, “Do I want this change in my life?”  Honestly, you can say,  “This growth period ‘s too big, I am going to give up this aspect of my vision.”  Or you can say, “I am willing to understand this growth period so that my vision can manifest.”

Your Vision

It helps to read your vision to align yourself with it.  If you do not have a written vision, then I suggest you write one.  A written vision helps ground your plan, to understand the changes you are experiencing so that you know they are not coincidences.  Most importantly, none of this reflection or understanding is logical.  Your understanding is most clear from an intuitive perspective.  Meditate.  Imagine, visualize, see in your mind’s eye your vision.  While in meditation, ask yourself within, “What change is this growth period creating and why is it so uncomfortable?”  Try not to think rather listen to yourself at your core.  The answers you hear will enlighten you and your journey to the vision of the life you desire.

Your Vision is Not Out There

Frangipani Spa Flowers reflected water.PlumeriaThe importance of having a vision is promoted everywhere these days. Having a vision sounds like a discovery, or maybe we are hearing it for the first time. Perhaps the ability to see in our mind’s eye – to visualize -is gathering acceptance. In any case, the idea of vision is not new and is it not something someone discovered.

Our vision is within us. Contrary to that perspective, people believe we have to figure out or decide our vision. That would be an incorrect approach. Our vision is at our core and always has been.

Working with professionals and business owners has increased my awareness of how a vision develops. Over the years I discovered that our vision is not something that we decide. Our vision is something that we discover within us, at our core.

When we can come out of our thinking, stop analyzing and arguing the pros and cons of various vision options, perhaps we can get quiet enough to listen to ourselves. Learning to go within and communicate with ourselves at our core, will give us the insight we need to know the vision that is already within us.

Our life is the path we follow to let our vision unfold and manifest. Our path is not about what we do but an expression of who we are at our core. I know this makes us shift our thinking that our vision, path and purpose are things we have to decide and create out there in the world somehow. A different perspective sees our vision flow from within to manifest in our world.

Our path is to experience our vision. We get off our path, get in our way and force ourselves, often with a lot of effort, to create what we think we should. Alternatively, if we simply quiet our space, go within and listen to ourselves at our core, we can begin to live the life our vision inspires.

Creating from our core is not logical. Then again we think too much. Our thinking gets in the way of knowing the vision we have always had for ourselves and our path to experience our that vision in the world. Do not think about this. That’s what gets us off our path.

Thoughts, concepts, emotions and programming that we hold get in the way of knowing our vision and expressing it.

Find the vision you have always had within you. First, stop thinking. Get quiet. Close your eyes. Go within. Get to know who you are at your core. Do not think. Learn to listen. Follow your heart. Follow your core, and you will be on your path, allowing the vision you always had within you to manifest.

Whatever You Imagine Is Being Created

Intuitive - Clear seeing

As a kid, I was self-conscious, not wanting to fail especially when others could see. Fear of failure was particularly evident in sports. I wanted to go on a group ski trip but did not know how to ski. I wanted to go with friends ice-skating except I did not know how to ice skate. My family planned to go water skiing with another family, and I did not know how to water-ski. Now you are thinking everyone has to learn and that makes sense except I could not tolerate not knowing, and the fear of failing was immense.

From that early age, I learned to visualize. No one taught me. It just seemed the only way. In all these sports, I had at least one experience trying and, of course, failing but I knew how it felt, so I started to imagine myself performing the skill needed for the sport. For example, I did this over and over then I would dream about skiing. When I could feel myself skiing in my dreams, I found that I could ski! This same technique worked for roller-skating and other sports. From there, with experience and practice I got better.

As I grew up, I used this same technique in other situations where I was not certain. Over and again I found that if I could imagine it, I could do it. Visualizing worked in college, in social situations, car repairs and more. It worked so well that I teach all my clients to visualize. Visualizing is not a new concept. Hundreds of studies have proven its impact. Thousands of teachers and coaches use visualization to develop their students, clients, and athletes. Some in the medical profession use it with patients to imagine their desired outcome.

Visualizing works both ways. We can imagine the outcomes we desire. On the other hand, if we imagine and dwell on the negative, what we fear and what we don’t want that manifests as well. Whatever we imagine is created. We can imagine a negative outcome just as easily as something we want.

Notice what you dwell on. Do not dwell on, imagine or visualize what you do not want. Don’t be too curious about someone else’s mishap. Don’t imagine what that was life for them so that you do not create it for yourself.

The essence is to focus your mind’s eye. Focus on manifesting what you do want. Keep your mind clear and your attention off any negative thoughts. Create your vision of success, be certain and take steps in present time to move in that direction.

Missing Opportunities We Cannot See

Moments of a lifeI cannot tell you the number of times I have seen people miss enormous opportunities. They just cannot see it. As a coach for business owners and professionals focused on success, this is frustrating.

Elaine

Elaine is a communications expert who has held many impressive positions, knows persons of influence. She has connections so why can she not achieve her one dream to have a TV show in which she features and interviews incredibly interesting people. Elaine loves people. She has an amazing ability to bring them out which why she knows so many.

My work with Elaine is to work with her to create her interview show. She seems so close to realizing this dream. At present, she is working as a consultant so she has ability to decide how to spend her time. Recently the owner of a small communications firm asked her to take over his company for three months while he took a break. Was she interested? Elaine agreed though running a business was not her skill set, so she wondered how this opportunity came her way. Elaine is a firm believer in creating a vision knowing that vision is always manifesting so how did this fit?

After she agreed Fred told her that, by the way, he also had a weekly TV show in which he interviews people so would she do that as well. Elaine became very uncertain, afraid, did not feel competent and wondered how she could bow out of this piece of the company.

Suddenly Elaine was unaware of her dream to do interviews on TV. It was as if part of her mind went blank!

Lori

Lori runs a growing company opening her third office this year. We have been working on growing her business so that it can run without her. Not that she intends to step out at this time, but strong systems are important for any growing company. The company relies too much on her and with the growth of staff things are getting a bit out of control. Lori was determined to fix this. One of her strategies was to create a practice management system that everyone could use to manage their time, their work, improve billing and more. Lori and her COO spend hours researching the options, bought one that turned out not to work for them so then purchased another system at signification cost. She and her staff invested hundreds of hours in setting, customizing and training. When they launched the system the expected period of transition from the old way of doing things to the new created some set backs.

I observed Lori placing her attention elsewhere as did her COO. It was as if the PMS did not exist. It was as if that part of her mind forgot about her vision, the investment and value to her business. She went back to her old ways.

Why Do We Miss Opportunities?

I could give many other examples of situations when we created a vision of what we want to happen; it begins to manifest, and we don’t see it. Why is that? From an intuitive perspective, there are many aspects. For one, we don’t have enough space to see clearly. When we have a lot of energies, people and concepts in our space demanding one thing or another we cannot see more than six inches in front of ourselves.

Secondly, when we create a vision we are creating something new, and it will require a change. Change is most often uncomfortable. It is in our nature to seek comfort so we back away. As we back away from discomfort in the process, we are also backing away from our vision. We cannot see that happening because we do not have enough space. We have lost our awareness.

What Can We Do?

So how do we not miss opportunities? It begins with being conscious, aware and clear. Taking the time each day to meditate, clear our space and refocus on what we intend to create is foremost. Without clarity, we lose our way, our direction and just work hard.

Next, notice how determined you are to achieve your vision. Some aspects of our vision require more determination (energy commitment) than others. How determined are you?

Finally, be in present time. Being present is the only way you can see in the moment what is before you. When we are not present, we are on automatic pilot doing what we always do.

Our vision and its opportunities are always right in front of us. Always. The goal is to be able to see them and take the opportunities.

Best wishes on your success, Kay

This Moment Creates

Abstract with heartDon’t blame anyone or anything else. If we step back, pay attention and become conscious of how we are being there is an answer. This has been said many times by many thought leaders.

Working with business owners and professionals focused on success for more than two decades I watch them create what they in front of them. My quick and simple observation, we create our reality. It is not rocket science. Listen to anyone talk about their day, before it begins, and you will hear and see what they have decided to create. They would probably not see themselves as responsible for what is going to happen, but they are. We all are.

Our thoughts about things create. The energy level we bring to our day creates. It is time to be mindful, to be in present time, observe and change it if we do not like where we are at the moment.

Most of us are programmed to create goals, have a vision, create a plan and all of that is fine but more important is how we are being in this moment because it is creative. We can have a vision of the future we desire for our business, our career or ourselves, and that is essential so that you are focused on what you are creating.

That vision stays a vision until we begin to change where we are. Where we are now creates what we have now so if we want something different then we have to change, a lot! When we begin to be conscious and aware of ourselves at the moment and create change starting here, we will experience an impact on everything.

Start each day by asking yourself these questions. The answer is not logical so do not think. Instead tune into yourself and notice how you feel, your thoughts about things and where you are focused.

• What energy level am I right now?
• Is this where I want to be? (If not, change your energy level to enthusiasm or above)
• What do I have my attention on?
• Is this where I want to have my attention? (If not, change your attention to something that serves your vision for yourself today)
• What do I expect from today? (Don’t think just notice where you are. You can change what you expect to align more with who you are and what you value.)
• What is on your mind or in your space? (Other’s stuff probably. Let it go. Clear your mind and clear your space.)

Decide to spend this day being mindful, conscious and aware, deciding in each moment of awareness to adjust and change to how you truly want to be.

Knowing how we truly want to be at the moment is not easy because we are so used to being another way, by habit or routine. This means creating change from within then watching that change manifest in your world.

Have a great day!

Work fast. Work hard. Really?

dreamstime_xs_19899077 Working fast, hard and smart is one perspective on success. I recently read a blog on success and the author suggested that the most successful people work fast, fast thinkers, fast decision makers, and they move fast. He also suggested that they work hard, long hours and do the hard work. The third characteristic of a successful person was they carefully selected where they spent this fast, hardworking time. They worked on things that mattered.

This blog grabbed my attention because I have found similar characteristics in the successful people who I work with and others that I observe though I would describe them differently.

From an intuitive perspective working fast is not necessary though you may enjoy working fast.  From my observations successful people have high energy. High vibrations are creative energies. High energies make it easy to be creative, create change, to see more clearly, to move through blocks or limits. So while I would not say working fast is a good approach working at a high energy level which is enthusiasm, creativity and may feel or appear fast is essential for success. When our energy is low, nothing is moving, nothing changes and energy blocks are too hard to unlock. So best practice, be in enthusiasm when you work.

Working hard is not necessary either though we might choose to do that, and it may happen. Working hard, of itself, is not a useful goal. From an intuitive perspective successful people are those who have a clear vision, focus on the vision and are not easily distracted. This might feel like hard work, but the key element is to focus. When we are focused and see the impact of that, we want to focus more, to create more. It is rewarding and so we may in the end work harder but that is not the goal.

The last characteristic is doing what matters. I completely agree. It is so easy to work hard and stay busy without accomplishing anything. We are successful when our time and attention stays focused on high value activities. By that, I mean tasks that will make a difference in achieving our vision of success. It is easy to keep busy doing whatever presents itself. Being disciplined enough to focus on actions that matter to our success makes all the difference.

My formula for success using the three traits mentioned in the beginning would be: With enthusiasm focus on high value tasks that will help you achieve your vision of success.  Sounds simple? Spend this week working in this way and see if it is easy to do and notice the impact of this approach.

Best wishes, Kay

Stuck on the Wrong Solution

HugTrust your vision. It is always manifesting – even when we get in the way. Just because our vision does not manifest in the way we expect does not mean it is not going to happen.   It is so easy for us to get in our way, lose sight of our vision and decide that we are not going to get our goal because of once circumstance or another. That decision is powerful and wrong.  Here is a story of one business owner who thought her vision was not going to manifest.

Sara

A business owner, Sara, called last year at her wit’s end saying she was going to close her business but wanted to check in with me before she did so. After speaking with her it was clear that she did not want to close her business. She just wanted and needed to change her role in the business. Sara’s next step was to move more into a leadership role and not be responsible for the day-to-day operations any longer. This is normal and needed step for the owner and the growth of any business.

Leadership Solution

When Sara called she was vibrating at the energy that her business was a big problem. Not so. Sara just needed to stop being CEO, CFO, COO, CBO and every other c-suite title you could think of. Her real goal was not to close her business but to position her business for sale and to find someone she trusted to buy the business she started. Sara wanted someone to carry on its strong reputation and tradition.

 A New Organizational Strategy

We created a new organizational strategy to grow her business.  We changed her role to CEO/President, made her accountant functionally the CFO. One staff person was promoted to CBO as marketing chief. Another staff person, Carol, was promoted to COO in charge of the day-to-day operations. Carol was also interested in eventually taking over the business. As an intuitive I did not see that Carol as strong nor committed enough to take over the business in the long run but Sara was convinced this would work.

Sara stepped back and let the Carol take over. It did not turn out as well as Sara had hoped and Carol quit within a year throwing the business back into Sara’s lap. Sara was devastated. Her disappointment was overwhelming. She felt like a failure and was unhappy that she was back in the role of CEO and COO once again.

Vision Still Manifesting

Sara called in tears. I had to remind her that she was still getting her goal of finding someone she liked and trusted to take over her business. That goal had not changed.  It was so clear to me intuitively that Sara was still getting her goal. It simply was not manifesting in the way she expected. She had pushed for the Carol to be that person. That was not meant to be. Intuitively I saw that Carol was not the person who could carry on the reputation and tradition of the business so it was inevitable that she would leave. It is not a mistake nor a coincidence.   That does not mean that Sara is not getting her goal. Quite the contrary. She just has not found the person who she trusts and who could run her business with the same quality of service the community had come to know.  Sara could not see this at first because she had too much energy in Carol being the solution.

Not A Coincidence

Not coincidentally the next day Sara ran into a Gail who operated an agency that was her largest competitor. Gail asked how Sara was doing and said she had heard that Carol, Sara’s heir apparent, had quit. Gail asked if Sara was interested in selling her business. Sara was blown over by this.

Vision

Even with this miracle appearing out of no where Sara was still stuck in the energy of disappointment about Carol quitting. She was so much in that energy that she could not see the miracle being presented.  Sara’s focus on the solution rather than the goal is something that we all do. By doing do so we get in our own way. We are unable to have a clear perspective and lose sight of the goal. Sara was so focused on losing Carol who she always believed was the solution that Sara had lost her perspective. Sara’s goal was to sell her business and to someone she trusted and who could continue the business in much the same way.  She liked Gail and respected her. This could be her dream come true. Perhaps this is the right plan for achieving her vision.

Notice for Yourself

Notice for yourself. Have you ever fixated on what you believe is the right and only way your vision can manifest? In your daily meditation take the time to pull your energy out of solutions, strategies, etc. to order to focus on your vision and where you want to be. Your vision is always manifesting. How you get there may surprise you.  Always take steps toward your vision and allowed it to manifest in unexpected ways.

Best wishes on your success, Kay

Same old, same old or something new

dreamstime_xs_34081720A new year and the same old routine creates nothing new.  We can be so set in our ways and stuck in our own way of thinking that we lock out the possibility of real change.  Sure we will make some changes in the New Year.  We always do – at least for a few months.

Every January my gym is suddenly packed with people and there is no place to park.  I do not stress about this because I know the numbers will go down each day and by the beginning of March everything will be back to normal.

Real change is not easy.  It takes focus and determination.  From an intuitive perspective it means creating a change in your energy first.  Our routines and habits cause our energy to spin in a particular way and at a specific vibration.  It stays this way day in and day out with occasional changes to high and low points.

How our energy is set (vibrates) creates precisely what we have in our lives at this time.  What we have may be great or we may be done with it.  In either case being conscious and aware of how we are being is important to creating success – personally and professionally.

This is a good time to stop, get quiet, go within and reflect on where we have been, where we are now and our vision for where we are going next.  I use the word next because we are constantly growing in our understanding of ourselves and so we finish one thing then imagine the next.

Stuart, the Architect

I was working with a new client this week, Stuart, a successful architect.   He was dismayed with his current work routine, feeling that everything depended too much on him.  He could not see a way out.  When I asked him what his vision was for his business in 3 – 5 years he had no idea.

This is a great story to illustrate the importance of having a clear vision. Without it life continues on the same.   Stuart’s task was to take the time to meditate, to get out of his current thinking about things and open to his vision for where he wants to be.  Once that is in place then every action he takes and decision he makes can move in that direction.   In addition his energy will change from the current spin pattern and vibration to a new level that will allow and create change.

Susan, To Lead or Not to Lead

Susan is client who has a fast growing financial planning business.  Things have gone well for her up to this point.  She has been both a financial planner and a business owner though more of her time is spent managing her business.  This past year we worked to create a new organizational plan that would support the growth of her business, adding new financial planners, a lead CPA and Office Manager.  The goal is for Susan to step out of the day-to-day running of the business and move more into a leadership role guiding the values, vision and future of her company.   Susan is set in her ways.   She does not like managing the day-to-day operations but it is familiar to her and she has done it for a long time.  Being the leader is a new role, unfamiliar and uncomfortable.  To be a leader means to change her energy from the lower chakras (busy doing) to the upper, setting the tone, owning the crown chakra (leadership).

Susan is at a crossroads.  She is resisting creating a business development plan, a financial plan, a marketing plan, etc.  All the tasks of the leader in a business must do. It is her choice.   Her business is growing but will not sustain without a strong leader.  We will see if she can make this change in her space for the New Year.

 Your Vision

What is your vision of 2014?  How does your energy have to change?  Getting out of routines, habits and becoming more self-aware are the starting points for real change.  It is often the case that we cannot see where we are stuck.  Working with a coach is a great way to have someone on your side who can show you what you cannot see.  To work with a coach you must be willing to receive honest communication then be willing to change.  It may not always be easy but it will be enormously helpful in achieving your vision of success.

What is your choice for the New Year? Same old, same old or something new?

Best wishes on your success in 2014,

Kay

Taking Charge of Change

dreamstime_4244380  If nothing changes then nothing changes.  Creating change is more than just a decision.

Change is inevitable if we want something more or something that we do not now have.  Creating change of any kind involves many levels in order to be accomplished.  We fail to accomplish the change we want when any one of these levels does not change.  Let’s go through this in a simple way.

What You Don’t Want

What is the change you want?  This sounds so simple but it is not.  Most respond by identifying what they don’t want, the situation they want out of, etc.  This is a start but this does not accomplish the change you desire.  It simply gets you out of what you don’t want.  Remember that whatever you declare with certainty will manifest one-way or the other.    The old saying “Be careful what you pray for.” It happens very often when we say we hate the job we are in.  We want a new job but we don’t take action to get out of our job so as it turns out we are laid off or fired.  How else can we get what we said we wanted?  We did not take the action to leave our job so the only way for it to happen was to be removed.  This happens in relationships as well.  You might find yourself saying, “I need to get out of this relationship.”  We do not take action to get out of the relationship then our partner leaves.

My point being we are good at saying what we don’t want and having that manifest though not always the way we want  This happens because we did had the thought but did not create the change.  We let it happen the only way it could.  Are you following me here?   So focus on what you do want.  Know what you do want and let that manifest.

Can You Imagine It Happening?

Creating the change you desire begins with knowing clearly what you do want.  The next step is to see that happening clearly in your mind’s eye, to imagine it, visualize it, or whatever term helps you realize your ability to see what you want.  This is a state of seeing not thinking or knowing.

See It Happening Now

See your vision or your goal fully manifested in present time.  If you imagine in the future then it will forever be something you imagine in the future.  The tricky part that defies reality is to imagine it happening NOW.   This is the only way that your reality can change.  If you imagine it in the future then nothing changes.

How Does It Feel?

Once you can see this in your mind’s eye the next step is to know what this feels like in the body.   Actually experience this vision in present time.  Change happens when we can imagine something new, see it clearly in our mind’s eye, feel the difference in our body, emotions, etc.

Do this often.  Do it in meditation so that your logic and fears don’t get in your way.   Once you have your vision everything begins to change, subtly and not so subtly.  Observe, don’t control and allow the changes to manifest.

Try this today.  The steps are: to know what you want to create; to see it clearly in your mind’s eye actually happening now; feel yourself being in this new place of change and, finally, allow change to happen.

Please add your comments and experiences to this conversation.

Best wishes on your success, Kay

Remember What You Prayed For

Image  When I began working with Sara a year ago she had one very large corporate contract that was her primary work along with a few private clients.  Everything was going well but she worried that if her large contract for some reason was cut she would experience too large a loss.  Sara wanted to create another large corporate contract with the idea of adding staff to her business.

We identified the type of corporations she wanted to approach and began to develop a plan to secure those contracts.  This list included what Sara would call her “fantasy” company, a large famous company that she always wanted to work with but with a laugh wondered if it was possible.

As part of the plan to secure another contract I asked Sara how she would make room for this additional work, as her schedule was already fully booked.  This question always seemed to end the conversation and the planning but time and time again Sara would bring up the need to secure new contracts though she did not take actions to make it happen.

As an intuitive I know a few principals always in play.

  • We are always getting our goals.
  • Whatever we resist will manifest.
  •  A strong vision manifests.

These may not be logical but they are very intuitive so I worried that Sara was not aware of what she was creating.  She was resisting loosing or reducing her current contract.  She had a strong vision of bringing on a new contract but was not making creating a plan or space for it.

As I mentioned we are always getting our goals so here is how it is turning out for Sara.  She raised her fees for her current contract and they agreed.  Not coincidentally, a few of the executives she was working with left the company thus reducing the work she was doing with them.  Her first reaction was fear at loosing this contract.  This is not logical but could manifest if she believes that it will.  In reality the contract reduced a little, enough to give her room to bring on another contract or client.

Also not coincidentally an executive from her fantasy company called to discuss her services and contracted with her to work with one executive as a beginning step to a larger contract!  She was beyond thrilled.  And finally one of her private clients referred her company to Sara.  She just submitted a proposal to secure a new contract with them.

Now with all of Sara’s vision beginning to manifest my question still is how is she going to provide services to all the clients she has created.  This will make her take the next step in her vision of success, adding staff to her business.

I love this story as I watched it unfold.  I watched Sara’s vision created so my message is remember what you pray for because it is manifesting.

Best wishes on your success,

Kay

Where am I going in my search for success?

Knowing your vision of success is a journey in self discovery.  Some of us know it right off and perhaps have known it our whole lives.  I know a 6-year-old who proudly declares that he IS a paleontologist and to back it up he knows, studies and learns everything he can about dinosaurs.

Many career experts suggest that you remember the first professional you imagined wanting wanted to be.  In my experience that is not far off while we may not end up doing that precise career we are not so far off the mark.

Your vision begins with a thought about what that might be but to really know and see your vision requires quieting the body and clearing the mind.  To get out of your mind so that you can hear yourself. So take time to sit quietly, relax and begin to imagine your vision of success and what that is for you, how it feels and releasing any thoughts that may compete with that.

Story

I met with a new client this week who is in school to develop his skills in hopes of supporting his success.  He believes if he can develop his skills as a digital artist then he will be more marketable.  Indeed that is true but I noticed as an intuitive that Fred did not have a vision of his success.  He did have steps and goals but without a clear vision he was just working hard.  When I asked Fred what his vision was he described wanting to work with a major digital arts production company.  I asked him if he could imagine that happening.  He chuckled saying it was what he wanted.  Wanting and having a vision are really different.  Wanting creates…..wanting.  Fred’s next step was to create a space of quiet (meditation) and start to see his vision of success.

He called back the next day to say how hard this was.  I explained it was only hard because he had not done this before.  Once he gets comfortable with visualizing it won’t be so hard.  He agreed to stay with it.  I am curious to see how this turns out for him as my experience is once you can see your vision of success in your mind’s eye everything starts to change.

Recognize Your Success

Havingness refers to your capacity to allow what you want in each aspect of your life – to have what you want. Havingness begins with a clear vision followed by clear thinking.  I work with clients everyday to make sure these first two steps are in place otherwise we find ourselves working hard and not achieving our goals.

Sarah

Sarah contacted me because she wanted to add a new interior designer to her firm.  She met a woman and wanted my intuitive read on this potential hire.  I saw Sarah making a mistake many business owners make when hiring.  They assess potential hires before they have a clear and strong vision of what they want for the position.  I worked with Sarah to clarify her vision of the position.  As we defined her vision I noticed Sarah’s concepts or thoughts that were in the way of knowing precisely what she wanted.

Wanting

For example, her description of the skill set she wanted was followed by statements about why she thought she would not be able to find a person like this or why they would not be available or would not want to work for her.  It was an amazing stream of thoughts that completely invalidated her vision and they were her thoughts!  We cleared her thinking so that her vision was true to what she wanted.  This came up again as she described her vision further regarding  salary & benefits, personality traits, work ethics, etc.  Each time she described what she wanted  followed with thoughts about why it was not possible.   By the end of our session she began to realize how her thinking about things affects her havingness.

Having

In the end, she came up with a strong and clear vision for the position.  Once that completed she was ready to look at the potential applicants and whether they fit her vision logically and intuitively.   She changed from the energy of need which causes us to compromise our vision to a vibration of havingness – the certainty to have what she wanted in this position.

Havingness

These concepts apply to any situation.  Have a clear vision.   Clear your thinking. Decide you can have what you want.

Please share your thoughts, experiences, etc.

Best wishes on your success.

Is your vision of success up to date?

This past week I watch the new hit cable show “The Wormhole” with Morgan Freeman.  This segment was on the concept of time.   I won’t go into the discussion about time though I was happy to hear scientists describe reality.  One scientist in an effort to explain time first defined reality as a series of mental image pictures that we have about reality.  Those pictures are constantly manifesting what we perceive.  Heady stuff but none the less affirms what I know intuitively, thoughts are powerful.  They create our reality.  It is hard to analyze but easy to see intuitively.

This is why I work so much with my clients to develop their vision of success (mental image pictures of success) because that is what will manifest.   Another way of saying it is, if you cannot imagine it then it cannot manifest.

The most difficult part is to know the difference between thoughts about what you want versus a vision of your  being successful.   Thoughts are literal so thinking about what you want is translated as something you do not have.  Your reality then becomes “wanting” and “not having”.  This is not logical but it is very intuitive.

All my clients want something that is why they come to me.  “How do I achieve my goals?” “I am doing all the right things but it is not happening.”   My immediate response is “What is your vision?”  “Now what are your thoughts about that vision.”    If their vision is clear (I want to have a successful printing company) but it is seen as something outside themselves (wanting not having) it will not happen.  Or if I want to have a successful printing company then the thought in the back of their mind is “but I don’t think it will happen” then they are left with wanting and not happening.

My best advice is to take the time to meditate to quiet the fear in the body and the noise in your mind.  Quiet your body and clear your mind then begin to imagine yourself being successful in the way that you desire. Keep meditating and do it often until you can see this vision clearly.

Next clear your thinking about this vision.  Release any thoughts, emotions, doubts, etc. that are in the way of seeing your vision manifesting.  Do this and experience a miracle?  But don’t do it just once.  Make meditation a tool you can use to continue to create the reality that you desire.

Best wishes on your success,

Kay

Make 2011 Different Than 2010!

Allow Change

Everyone wants something they don’t have.  We call these our goals.  Whether we meet these goals or not is completely up to us and it is not a mystery.

We might have an idea or thoughts about our goals but we don’t have a clear vision of our goals.  We can’t see or imagine our vision happening.  Not having a clear vision means our goals are more something that we want to happen but don’t really believe it will manifest.

On the other hand perhaps we do have a clear vision.   I have learned working as an intuitive business consultant that having a clear vision is not enough.  To achieve goals we have to be willing to create and to allow change.

So often our resistance or fear of change stops us from achieving our goals.  From an intuitive perspective the minute we create a clear vision it begins to manifest.  Everything necessary to meet the goal begins to change.   That may include staff quitting, our role change, getting out of our comfort zone, taking risks, etc.

I have seen business owners stop their goals from manifesting because they were not willing to allow change.  When we allow change then our goals manifest gracefully.   When we resist change then we may still meet our goal but in more dramatic and less graceful ways.

Meditation is an important aspect of navigating change.  In meditation you can gain perspective, find neutrality, release fear, open to your intuition and see how change moves toward your goals.

If we don’t allow change then 2011 will be the same as 2010 and maybe that is fine.  If you have goals you have not achieved it may be time to get out of your comfort zone.  You decide.

Happy New Year (if you decide to make it new!) and Best Wishes on Your Success!

Cash Flow – Money in and Money out

Some have cash flowing in and out precisely at the level they desire.  What is the secret to their success?  Actually there is no SECRET!   We create and experience exactly what we believe or imagine.   Wanting easy cash flow does not create it especially if we do not believe it can happen.

Be careful what you believe. Thoughts and emotions (ours or others) affect our ability to manifest.  One of my clients is very capable at bringing money in but she is self-conscious about having more than her family so she manages to never has enough.

Money Coming In

Most of us spend time imaging ways to bring money in.  Our next step is imagining money coming in at the level we want.  Be aware of allowing money to come in from more ways than just hard work and effort. Allow the unexpected.

Money Going Out

The other side of financial havingness is having a strong vision of money flowing out.   Most don’t take the time to imagine this side of the dichotomy.   We don’t believe that we have full control of this or we don’t like the idea of money flowing out.  Why not?   We can decide to create a vision of money flowing out in the same way we can decide to create a vision of money coming in.  In fact, to have financial success our vision has to include both, money in and money out.

Enthusiasm for Money

Now notice your energy level.  Do you have enthusiasm for money coming in or is it a problem?   Do you enjoy money flowing out or do you resist this?   Your thoughts and emotional reaction to money in or money out affect your ability to create.

I Don’t Have ……

As a business intuitive I often hear business owners or professionals declare “I don’t have enough money for ……… or “I can’t afford …….”  They say it with such determination it is as if they are declaring this to the entire universe.  In fact, they are.  Be careful what you declare.  You are creating your business or career based on your declarations.   If you do not want something then simply say that.  If you want something but you cannot afford it right now then declare “I can have ….” then watch as the universe manifests in ways so that you can have it.

A Miracle

My client wanted a new highend expensive printer.  She could easily have declared, in dismay, that she would not afford it.  Instead she wrote this printer down as one of her goals.  A week later at a networking event there was a raffle for the exact printer she wanted.  Of course, she won the raffle.

Intuitive Meditation

Take the time to meditate.   Quiet the body.  Clear your mind.

Imagine in your mind’s eye money flowing in.  Use your intuition.  Notice your thoughts about this.  Notice your emotions.   Clear your thoughts and emotions that make money flowing in a problem until you can see your vision with enthusiasm for creating money.

Use your intuition to imagine money flowing out. Notice your thoughts about this.  Notice your emotions.   Clear your thoughts and emotions that make money flowing out a problem until you can see your vision with enthusiasm for spending money.

When you can imagine or see in your mind’s eye cash flow at the level you would enjoy then you are ready to experience financial havingness.  If you don’t believe this then you are not ready yet.  Keep meditating.  Clear your thoughts.  Release your fears until you can see clearly money in and money our exactly as you would enjoy.

Best wishes on your success!

Create Success NOW – Not in the future

clock

You have a clear vision of your success!  You have a plan to get there.   Business owners and professionals often tell me they are doing all the right things so ” WHY is my vision not manifesting as they had envisioned it?”  Our success is always manifesting precisely as we imagine it.

Expect Success NOW!

As a business intuitive I often see the thoughts a person has about their success. They may not be aware as these thoughts may be in the back of their mind. They may have feelings that are just below the surface.  I find that business owners who see their success happening NOW see their success growing.  Successful business owners fully expect to experience their success everyday!

Success Come From Within

I have seen very talented business owners and professionals with great plans and even a lot of cash not create success simply because they envision success in the future.  This is simply false thinking, programming to see success in the future or it comes from invalidation and fear.  That may be the fear of failure or not being able to succeed.  For others it is the fear of success.  There are many more possibilities.

Stephen

One of my clients, Stephen, wanted to perform on Broadway.  He arranged intuitive business mentoring with me to achieve this goal.   So far this goal was just not happening. The first step was for Stephen to create a clear vision of his success on Broadway.  Soon after his vision began to manifest.  He auditioned in San Francisco for a major musical.  He did so well they asked him to audition in LA for the national touring group.  This audition also went well.  He was asked to fly to New York to audition for the Broadway show.  It was at this point that Stephen found his fears.  He was in fear of this step and all the changes it would bring in this life.

Sara

Sara grew up in a family that loved boats so when the opportunity to buy a company that sold high-end yachts presented itself she jumped at the chance.  She invested all the money she had and that she could borrow into the purchase of this business.  In addition to her love of boats, Sara was also very business savvy, disciplined, organized, etc. and yet her business was not moving forward as she imagined it.  During an intuitive consultation I saw a picture in her space that said she was too young, too new in the industry that she would have to put in her time before the money would flow.  When I told her what I saw she laughed because she knew these thoughts were in the back of her mind.  She cleared her thinking and her business immediately began to turn around.

Your Vision of Success Now!

Notice for yourself.   Do you imagine your success as “Just around the corner”?  Do you see it happening in the future?  Do you believe that you are not ready for your success?  Perhaps you believe that this or that has to happen before you can have your success?  In all these beliefs we are keeping success from happening NOW!

Intuitive Exercise

Success is not a mystery that only a few have the key to.  Success can often be a journey in self-awareness.  Knowing what you want is the first step.  Seeing it in your mind’s eye is next.  Now notice your thoughts and feeling about your vision.

Take the time to meditate.  Notice your thoughts about when you imagine your success happening. Clear your thinking and see your vision of success happening NOW!

Best wishes on your success!

Getting Out of Our Own Way and Allowing Success

There is a difference between our vision of success and our thoughts.  Our vision is creative but so are our thoughts.  Being aware of the thoughts we have about our vision and our goals (personal, professional, etc.) will make all the difference.

For example, your vision is to double your revenue in 2010 and within one second your thought is “But that won’t happen!”   Your thought just replaced your vision.

Another example, I was working with a client, Karen, this morning.  She is planning to move her offices and she was feeling stressed about finding the right fit for her business.  She did not believe she could have what she wanted.  As an intuitive I know everything we experience is the result of our vision, our thoughts or others thoughts.  My focus is always to help you find and see your vision.

Compromising Your Vision

I asked  Karen to describe her vision of the new office space.  I expected to hear her vision for her company and how this new space would support her goals for the next 5 – 10 years.   She began to tell me what she wanted then immediately describe all the compromises she would need to make.  Why did she believe she had to compromise?  As I listened to her intuitively I saw her deciding and believing what she wanted could not happen and so she was creating a vision that “would do”.

As a business intuitive I urge my clients to notice when they are creating their vision and when they are creating something as a result of the energy in their space.  It took time working with Karen to create a clear and true vision of the new office space based on what she really wanted.  During the process I worked with her to recognize, release and clear all the pictures and energy that were in her way.

Thoughts That Argue

If you notice carefully you will find this for yourself.  Bring to mind one of your goals or visions and notice that within seconds the mind and your thoughts will come up with 20,000 reasons why it can’t happen exactly as you want it to.  These are false thoughts though it is our tendency to pay more attention to these than our vision.  This is how we get in our own way.

Hold Your Vision Exercise

From the an intuitive perspective success comes from having a clear vision of what you want without knowing at this point how to get there.  Just create and see your vision.  Release and let go of any thoughts that fight or want to alter your vision.  Hold your vision then allow your success to manifest.

Best wishes on your success,

Kay

Hey! Where Am I?

0032PhotonicaFor the most part we have our attention in the future, our plans for today, this week, this year, our vision of success and more.   Having a clear vision is a very important aspect of creating.  We cannot manifest without this.

Be in the Moment

The other aspect of creating is the ability to be in the moment.  When we have a vision we tend to put our attention and awareness in the future.   This tendency to be IN the future actually keeps our goals beyond our reach because we imagine them there and have our energy there.   In this way a goal will be forever in the future.

Achieve Goals Now!

To achieve our goals means to have a clear vision then be sure that our attention, awareness and energy are completely in the moment.  Our attention and energy in the future whether that means in the next moment or the next year makes us feel scattered or out of it!  This is a clear sign that we are not in the moment.

Intuitive Consult

As a business intuitive this is one of the most common areas of focus.  Intuitively I can see the effect being in the future has on my clients’ business success.  When they are not in the moment then their success is always in the future.  Jeff was a new client.  He was doing all the right things.  He had a great business plan, a sound product and good business sense yet his company was not taking off like he had imagined.  When I looked at Jeff’s energy intuitively I saw that 80% of his energy was in the future, in his vision and out of present time.

Using meditation I taught Jeff to be in present time.  This was quite difficult for him at first because he was so used to being out in front of himself.  He said it even felt uncomfortable to bring his attention into the center of his head.  After about a week of practicing being in present time his business started to take off exactly how he imagined it would.  Is this a coincidence?

Intuitive Exercise

I recommend taking time throughout the day to simply stop.  Take a deep breath.  Close your eyes.  Imagine bringing all your attention and your awareness into the center of your head.  In this way you become centered in present time.

Notice how this feels.  Notice how far out of it you are, meaning out of the center of your head and out of the moment.  Spend the time it takes to be centered completely in present time.  Use your intuition to become aware of where you are.   Repeat this exercise several times a day until you know that you are in the moment.

Best wishes on your success!

A decision that does not matter!

B0319623Success comes from knowing our vision (goal) and keeping that vision in our minds eye.  As a business intuitive, my clients often ask about one decision or another I refer them back to their vision (goal) and whether this decision will help achieve those goals.  Often we think one decision or the other is critically important loosing site of our vision.

We focus on the next decision when our vision makes us feel as if the changes to get there are too great.  We feel overwhelmed by our vision. It is the magnitude of change it represents that causes us to be distracted.  This is the point where we have to decide whether to stay committed to our vision or create a new one.  Once we decide to commit to our vision then determination and focus are needed to push through the energy to get there.

Achieving goals is not for the faint of heart.  If you have a vision, see it clearly in your mind’s eye.  Don’t think about it.  See it intuitively then focus your time, attention and commitment to achieving that vision. Breathe deeply.  Allow fear.  Allow change.  Achieve your vision.

Spirit, Mind and Screaming Body

j0149029You know the feeling.  You decide to take a big step or take a risk in order to move forward.  You have a clear vision. Intuitively you know it is the best step.  You make the decision.   All of a sudden you break into a cold sweat and a world of doubt washes over you.   Were you wrong?  Was your decision too impulsive? Why do you feel like you just made a big mistake?

From an intuitive perspective everything is happening exactly as you might expect.  When we have a goal, it is by definition something you don’t currently have.  You know that to move from where you are to where you want to be requires getting out of your comfort zone, taking a deep breath and making that decision.  This is how a successful business and successful people operate.  They know what it will take then they just do it.  They don’t let anything talk them out of their vision.

When we decide to get out of our routine, our comfort zone and all that is familiar we are ready to get our goals. This takes vision.  Your intuition holds this vision.  You can imagine and see intuitively exactly what you want.  You create a mental image picture of this in your minds eye then think through all the logical steps to get there.   These are the first two steps and they involve the spirit (the vision) and mind (the plan).

What happens next determines your success. The body and your emotions react to this great idea.  The body does not like change or to be uncomfortable so it starts screaming.  YOU DECIDED WHAT!   SCREAMING…. the cold sweat.  In the end many business and professional decisions are made not intuitively or with any logic but rather how loudly your body screams and resists change or being uncomfortable.  Your emotional reactions to good sound decisions can completely talk you out of taking the steps you really want to take.

Your success depends on your commitment to your vision and focusing on making it happen.  If the discomfort or fear is too great then you will back away from your goals until you feel comfortable again.  Our success is always this choice.

Learning meditation is one way to get through this fight between your vision and the discomfort change creates.  In meditation you learn to quiet the body and release the energy that is in your way.  After meditation you are re-energized and feel more certain.

Finally, take steps to make yourself comfortable physically and emotionally when you are ready to push forward to achieve your success.  It will help you through what can be a challenging time of change.

Best wishes.  Kay

Allow Fear & Keep Moving Toward Success

????????????????????????????????????????This is a good time to talk about fear! As far as I can tell from experiences with my clients everyone is afraid at one time, or another. Fear of taking a big step, changing directions, moving forward, making a decision, not having control and fear of the unknown.

From an intuitive perspective fear often means you are faced with a great opportunity. Let me explain. When we get to the place of having a clear vision of success everything in our lives, and our business begins to evolve around that vision. If you pay attention, you will be aware of this happening. Suddenly there are a rash of coincidences that favor your vision.

When you have a clear vision (or intention) change begins. Where you are now maybe fine but if you have a goal something has to change for it to manifest. Those changes begin to show aspects of your business that are in the way of your vision and where change is needed. Those changes typically make you personally uncomfortable, or you would have made the changes already. As you change, your concepts about your business also change, and evolve more consistent with your vision. It is an uncomfortable time. It can be scary, and you may experience fear from all that is changing. You are out of your comfort zone, and that is good.

I watch my clients go through this period of business growth and the choices they make. Some become uncomfortable, start to be afraid and crumble. They stop moving forward and decide to stay right where they are. Others recognize the fear, know that it is the result of the steps they are taking, take a deep breath and take even more determined steps toward their vision.

When a business owner has a clear vision, everything starts to change and evolve around that vision. At first it may feel like everything falling apart! Aspects of your business that are not supporting your vision may fall apart because it needs to change as new aspects develop and evolve.

It is a scary and exciting time. Those who are successful don’t run from fear. They take a deep breath and move forward to create their vision. Fear Not!

Best wishes for your success,

Kay
